Miss Universe to be Crowned September 12

Miss Universe 2011, the 60th edition of the Miss Universe pageant, will be held in São Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011. Ximena Navarrete of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Pageant Watch: Miss America 2011

There she is, Miss America 2011 — and she’s barely old enough to drive!

I just LOVE the bimbo head tilt!

I want to wear this gown!

Does he come with the tiara? A girl can only hope.

On Saturday night, Teresa Scanlan of Nebraska was crowned the latest Miss America at the Planet Hollywood casino resort in Las Vegas. At 17, Scanlan is also the youngest Miss America since Margaret Gorman, the pageant's first winner, won at the age of 16 way back in 1921.

 

Teresa, who completed high school at just 16, begins a year's reign in one of the most visible positions any young woman could seek with a $50,000 college scholarship and opportunity to advance her pageant platform of battling eating disorders. The new Miss America said she planned to defer her university enrollment until she finishes her reign with the crown.

Miss Arkansas Alyse Eady won $25,000 as first runner-up, 

while Miss Hawaii Jalee Fuselier won $20,000 for third place.

The contestants — from every state plus the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico — started the show by dancing up the aisles while wearing silver cocktail dresses.

In a stunning blonde dressed in an one-shoulder white evening with crystal embellishments at the neckline and shoulder-duster earrings, Teresa received her crown and sash from retiring Miss America 2010, Virginia's Caressa Cameron.

Congratulations Teresa! I wish that I were you, girl!

Pageant Watch: New Miss Belgium Crowned

Eighteen year old Justine De Jonckheere was crowned Miss Belgium 2011 last night. She will represent Belgium in the Miss Universe 2011 and Miss World 2011 competitions. The Miss Belgium completion is the largest national beauty pageant in Belgium.

Pageant Watch: Miss Globe International

Just about every sissy can remember as a child sitting in front of the television watching beauty pageants like Miss America and wishing that they were one of the contestants. The poise, the beauty, the femininity... 

Today, we sissies have another icon to envy. On Sunday night, December 26, Miss Spain Jenifer Solis was crowned the latest Miss Globe International.

The 1st Runner up was Anna Botava of Russia. 

The 2nd runner-up was Laura Contreras of Venezuela. 

The Best National Costume went to Brazil. 

 All these girls are so lovely!
